• Hi,

Every time I add an image to the link, a brand new copy of the image is created in the library. I suspect this has to do with the Thumbnail Generator but I do know how to disable it. My original images are already sized correctly and compressed accordingly so there is no need to redo it. Unless there is something I am missing.

My Thumbnail Generator hs two options roothumb.com and thumbshots.org. It is currently set to rootthumb which is default I believe. Is it possible to disable it and not have duplicated images in the library?

I also noticed that the automatically generated images cannot be edited (library->edit) as the image comes as a question mark, so not valid.

When clicked on the “view attachment page” the link is “link url from the library”/”image url”

For example, If I have a link google.com and an image img.png, the link to the attachment page will google.com/img.png, which would explain why they cannot be edited and come up as question mark.

    Thanks

I thought I had resolved these types of issues, but will investigate more over the week-end.

I believe I’ve finally resolved this issue. The fix will be in version 6.5.6, available later today. Please update and let me know if it resolves the issue. Please consider donating to support this plugin’s development.

    Hi Yannick,

I tested the update, and you solved the problem. No duplicate image was made while adding a new link.

    Thank you very much!!!
