Duplicate gallery images being created upon product import with WP All Import

Hi Mateusz, your excellent plugin has been working very well on my site for a long time.

Lately I discovered that multiple image gallery entries were being made upon running of my import script. This leads to my product pages adding an additional duplicate product image on every successive run of the import. We use WP All Import.

Disabling your plugin makes the problem stop.

Also, in my WP All Import job, if I change the image import option away from “Don’t touch existing images, append new images” to “”Update all images”, then the problem goes away and I get only one image per product again (there’s only one image per product in the original datafeed). The problem with using this import option is that the import will wipe out any additional product images we have already uploaded manually, so it’s not a good solution for us to use that setting.

This might have started happening upon a recent update of your plugin.

I will try to locate a previous version of your plugin and test with this to see if the problem is not present with earlier version.

In the meantime, I can provide a staging site if you would like to test.
