Hello, I love your plugin, thank you for making it. It’s been working really well for me and my client but I’ve just encountered a problem. I’ve got two references formatted like this – [note]note one>[/note],[note]note two[/note]

And then another paragraph below with another reference in it – [note]note three[/note]. The first two references both show as “1,1” and then the reference below is “2”.

When you hover over any of them individually they show the correct information in the pop up box. But at the bottom of the post the full listings of references there is just

    1. note two
    2. note three

This hasn’t happened anywhere else on the site. We’ve tried recreating the page from scratch. Moving the first two notes apart and they still show as two 1’s. Is there anything you can suggest doing?

I am sorry I can’t link to the page. It’s currently set to private.

I tried recreating your issue in a demo site, but was unable to do so. If I’m correct this is the expected behavior you’d like?

Are you up to date with the latest version of Easy Footnotes?

My initial thought is that it’s a plugin or theme conflict. Do you use any other plugins that add shortcodes or any page builders or other plugins that may effect the content that’s output?

I was able to recreate your issue. It should be fixed in version 1.0.16 of the plugin. Please update and give it a test.

Apologies for my delay in getting back to you. I’ve been out of the studio for a few weeks. Thank you very much for getting back to me and for looking into the issue.

My client had been messing around and managed to get it to work but I’m not sure what he did as I couldn’t fix it originally. I’m glad to hear that you managed to recreate the issue and can find a fix for it. Great news! I’ll be sure to download the update.

    Many thanks!

No worries. Let me know if you run into any issues with it.
