duplicate folder name for alternative hreflang tag URL…

    I have installed WordPress in a subdirectory, let say, example.com/wp/ and my blog is accessible from this URL but when I enable “Add hreflang tags” in plugin settings page what actually it does is append an additional folder name like example.com/de/wp/wp/ instead of example.com/de/wp/

    Is there any fix for that?
