duplicate files in pics mash and bad ordering

I am attempting to run a pics mash of almost 10,000 photographs and have been facing serious problems with transferring the images from my media library to the plugin.
In the “Add Images from Media Library” section of the Pics Mash Admin section, the “Add Images” button appears to work, but when I tried so, it only added some smaller section of the overall set – perhaps 1000 at a time. I repeated the process, figuring it could only add a smaller number at a time, but then found that some 1500 images were repeated in the Pics Mash library and others were left out entirely.
Right now I am trying to remove all of the repeated images from the Pics Mash library and see if I can try the transfer again, but I am afraid that I will run into the same issue. Currently it has been processing the request to “Move to Trash” 999 for some 15 minute
In addition, the display inside the Pics Mash (non-admin) section is faulty. Although my image names are all numeric, they are not displayed in sequential order. Right now on my first page the list is “118432.jpg, 118435.jpg, 118430.jpg, 118419.jpg, 118421.jpg …”.
Any advice you can offer on these issues would be much appreciated.
