• When I create a parent category, and then a child category, why is it displaying both on my screen? I inserted the shortcode [qafp] as I was instructed, and I thought that it would list the main categories and then the child with the child’s topics. In the FAQ categories, I only chose the child for the actual FAQ, not both. On my screen I am seeing this now:
    G Data
    To Move the Management Server
    To Backup Your Management Server
    G Data Management Server
    To Move the Management Server
    To Backup Your Management Server

    How do I fix this?

[qafp] will add EVERYTHING. Try specifying the category that you want to show.

I do want everything to show. I just don’t see why posts classified as part of a sub-category are also being shows under the main category. I have 5 main categories that I want to display, and each has a handful of sub-categories with FAQs under them. When you display all, shouldn’t the posts just reside under the sub-category, and not be displayed under the main and the sub?

There is no such thing as a sub-category in QAFP. You can have categories with questions in them and that is it. I am not sure how you are setting up sub-categories and would have to see the FAQ on your page to understand and see the problem for myself.

Unfortunately I can’t send you to the page, as it is in a restricted site. Here is what I did. When you go into the FAQ categories, you can choose a parent category for the one that you just created. Screenshot Then I created FAQs using the child category, as I want to organize them by software brand, then use the child categories to actually manage how they are organized. When I added this subcategory, in my mind it should only flag the post to only show up under the one category that I chose. Screenshot I put the QAFP shortcode as I do want everything to show up, but it is putting the posts that are assigned to the child category as part of the parent as well. Screenshot. I just want to know how to fix this so when it is in a child category, it only will show up under the child.
