Duplicate Email Sending for order

In most of these cases the duplicate one is owed to another plugin present which also triggers a mail parallelly.

We recommend temporarily switching your theme to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce, and see if the behavior still persists. You can test this out on a staging site using a plugin like WP Staging, without affecting the appearance of the front end.

If this issue does not persist at this point, you’ll want to reactivate your theme/plugins one by one until you find the one causing the issue. Here’s the conflict test guide for reference: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

If the above does not yield a culprit, please share with us the site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Does the issue persist when you remove your custom order email? It appears that’s causing the issue.

If you’re looking to use a custom email, you should disable the default order email in WooCommerce > Settings > Emails.

Sorry for asking again, but could you confirm if the issue persists after following the steps below:

1. Disable all plugins except WooCommerce
2. Switch the theme to a default theme like Storefront or 2022
3. Disable the custom code that you are using
4. Enable new order email for customers under WooCommerce > Settings > Emails
5. Test if the issue persists

I see you are using one of our paid extensions – WooCommerce Pre-Orders. If you are seeing this issue with Pre Order emails only, I’d suggest opening a ticket from your WooCommerce.com My Account page to get support.
