I have post notifications set up and it appears that some (not all) of my subscribers are getting duplicate posts. The sent mail logs only show one email being sent.

However, I am getting three different emails (from the last post notification). One is labeled “[Email Posts WP Plugin] Newsletter Report”, and contained the full count of subscribers (120). The other two are labeled “[Email Posts WP Plugin] Cron triggered” but have smaller counts listed (22) and (46).

Any idea how to resolve this? Do I have some setting confusion?

Under Mail Configuration, I have no active email posts. Status is “OFF” for everything in there.

Under Post Notification, I have one item (which results in the notifiations for new posts:

    Notification mail subject
    ###POSTTITLE###

    Subscriber Group
    Public

    Categories / Custom Post
    Announcement, tribe_events

    Notification Status
Add to cron and send mail via cron job.

Under CRON settings, WP Cron is set to YES : Plugin will use WP CRON option to send emails. No manual configuration is required.

If you are using the cron job URL to trigger sending, you should set WordPress Cron to “NO (Do not use WP CRON)” otherwise you can end up with duplicates if they trying sending at the same time.

So I don’t have anything specifically trying to trigger the crob job URL.

EDIT: I DID have a task scheduled to trigger the cron URL, which I forgot. I disabled that and hoping that will fix it.

I forgot all about it… but something you said triggered that memory.

    Thanks.
