Duplicate categories

Are you having issues with a duplicated post not containing the correct taxonomy terms?

This plugin is built to duplicate posts, and not taxonomy terms. Taxonomies themselves don’t have a whole lot of data to them so if you need to duplicate a term it’s probably easiest to just create a new term and copy/paste the description.

Yeah i know the category duplication doesnt make much sense, but for some reason the clients wants to be able to duplicate the whole category including its posts, so essentially what i really need is to be able to duplicate the category, and by that actually duplicating the posts relating to the original category, and assign them to the new category (with slightly different slug “category-name-2”).

Do you think i would be able to modify your plugin to do something like that?

Ok, I see what you’re saying. Anything’s possible with modification, but it would be a major modification to do what you need. I don’t have any quick tips on how to do this since it would be such an extensive modification.
