Duplicate Badges on Products

Of the label plugins, this is the only one that doesn’t appear bloated and doesn’t superimpose itself over the nav drop down menu, at least in my theme.
Unfortunately, it creates 2 of the same labels for my products on the product category pages.
My theme (flatsome) designates the products as “product-small box”, which then is comprised of the image portion of the product (“box-image”) and the text portion (“box-text”).
The plugin is acting as if the image portion and text are two separate products and producing the label twice.
Hiding with CSS works but it still creates extra whitespace/margin where the additional label is being generated but cosmetically hidden.
Is there a way to rip out the additional label?
