Every single one of my clients websites with MonsterInsights plugin installed is suddenly showing a duplicate google analytics tag notice. None of them were showing this in previous years. Some of these sites have been published 5 years with no issues.

How do I fix this? I’ve had several clients contact me with concerns.

    Hi @realdigitalmktg,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the delay here.

MonsterInsights proactively monitors if your Google Analytics is tracking correctly on your website after authentication. If any Google Analytics tracking code is detected (aside from MonsterInsights), we display a notice. Duplicate tracking codes may potentially skew your analytics data since MonsterInsights already inserts your tracking code for you.

When I visit https://www.jettmedicalstaffing.com, I see a couple of extra Google Analytics code snippets. Here’s an example: https://a.supportally.com/i/eQ1hws

If you’re able to remove any extra Google Analytics tracking code snippets from your websites, or disable other Google Analytics plugins, that will resolve the notices.

If you continue to have issues, or if you find the above doesn’t quite apply, please reach out to us at?https://www.monsterinsights.com/get-help/?and we’ll be happy to take a closer look at things.

    Thank you!
