• Hi Joe

Something weird has happened today, its the fist time we have used paypal in a while due to lack of events during Covid.

We are using PayPal via a Paypal Here card reader, these payments still trigger IPN’s even though Just Tickets has not originated the payment. What “seems” to be happening is the last published post is duplicated for every IPN thats sent, I have disabled IPN’s now and thats sorted it but will need to enable again next time we use My Tickets. Have you seen this before? Obviously a lot has changed since our last usage – wordpress versions as well as many plugin updates!

Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.

    Mick

An annoying thing about PayPal IPN handling is that if a payment tool does not pass a custom IPN url to the API, it will still send an IPN, and it will send it to the IPN url in your account. So if you’re using multiple payment tools with PayPal, and any of them send an IPN without declaring their own URL for it, it’ll be sent to another tool.

My Tickets does send a custom URL, so you can actually set the IPN URL in your PayPal account to a dummy URL and My Tickets will still work. That will stop these other tools from sending IPN updates to My Tickets.
