    Hi.

Today Europe went into summertime, which have resulted in serious problems with this plugin. ALL my events have been scheduled one hour forward in time. I have checked, and double checked all DST-setting and also tried to change the settings, but withput any results.

On todays event I had to phone attendees to inform them about the correct time, since it also showed the wrong time on them.

Please, this is urgent, how can I get the plugin to display the correct time for my events and on the ticket? People are buying ticket for the wrong event time right now.

    Best regards.
    Janne

  • I’m also having the same issue.

I have Acknowledge DST set to yes, and the setting WordPress time and location is also set correctly.

A fix would be greatly appreicated.

There is a solution to this under the individual, or ‘child’ events. (The ones with Permalinks)

Here’s a video which shows how to adjust.

You can change the Permalink and date easily in this manner.

Thanks. But that is not an easy way to change the event time, and not a solution to the bug. That is a time consuming way.

For me the problem was the opposite: permalink was correct but event time settings was wrong. So I had to change start time + end time * 45 events = 90 changes, It took me about an hour to to that yesterday. As I said, that was NOT an EASY way.

The question still is: When do you intend to fix this? How can I get the _plugin_ to display the correct time for my events and correct time on the tickets? You had the same problem when we went into winter/normal time last autumn.

And another question: Why do you always present workarounds with videos, and not with ordinary text pages? Text makes it easier to find solutions for problems.

    Thanks!

@jannepalmen The issue isn’t simple to solve programmatically, and here’s why:

Arizona doesn’t do DST. Some countries in EU also don’t honor it.

Since we can’t know all the possible permutations, and about 40% of our installs (for those who choose to share stats) are out of the US. They may or may not honor DST, or Summertime as it is known EU.

There isn’t a good solution we can accomplish, other than to provide a mechanism to change it all.

However, maybe we can figure out a ‘bulk editor’ way that is safe and could save times.

Generally, the reason we do videos is that it is much quicker to present an answer, than to try and write out what to do on an interface.

We’re open to suggestions from a programmatic standpoint if you have any.

Seems like the issue would be solved if the “Acknowledge DST” checkbox worked as advertised. As far as I have been able to tell, this setting doesn’t do anything. Can that be fixed?
