• [1] It looks v3 needs to be trained on a high volume of traffic before it becomes useful. V2 works off the bat on the low traffic sites.

[2] In https://developers.google.com/recaptcha/docs/faq , Google says “reCAPTCHA v2 is not going away! We will continue to fully support and improve security and usability for v2.”

[3] In the same FAQ, Google says “page might still use reCAPTCHA v2 for a higher-friction challenge“.

Bottom line, it was absolutely unnecessary to replace V2 with V3 in the CF7.

I wonder if V2 support can be returned back to the CF7, so that the user could choose between V2 and V3?

  • Completely agree with this. At the moment with V3 I am getting a lot of spam through on low volume sites.

    Please bring back V2 support

I agree as well. I’m getting a ton of spam since having to use v3.

Couldn’t agree more! I don’t like the reCaptcha logo appearing on every page of my site either. Bring back v2!!

    +1 on wanting v2 back…

Right now trying to decide whether to just get rid of the contact form, or look for alternative form plugin.

Yes, please bring V2 back, hate that stupid badge on all the pages.

Thank you for creating the best contact form plugin for WordPress but please bring back recaptcha v2. I’m receiving more spam in my inbox since the upgrade to v3. And the badge is hideous ??

reCAPTCHA v3 is a mess. Let us toggle between using ReCAPTCHA v2 or v3.

Any developper who thinks it’s okay to add some kind of constantly-there hovering box needs to seriously reconsider what they are doing!

    +1 ??
