• Hey There!

We are using WP Super Cache version 1.6.4 and in our WP-Dashboard under plugins/dropins we find “advanced-cache.php”. Is this file from the Plugin WP Super Cache and can be deleted?

    thnx for helping

  • It’s used by the plugin, so if you have the plugin enabled it is required and cannot be deleted.

thnx Donncha! I don’t know from where and from whom this dropin is really coming…

I have the same issue, this is showing in Drop In Plugin in my WP admin:

It says: advanced-cache.php advanced caching plugin: Inactive
Requires define(‘WP_CACHE’, true); in wp-config.php file.

I do not have any caching plugins installed and have not used them for a few years, yet this file shows up.

I am still bothered to see this file so can I delete it and where is it?
    thanks for any help.
