• Hello!

In Safari 12.1, neither the drop-down menu nor the responsive menu appear to be working as expected. (Dropdowns are automatically expanded, and the layout of the responsive menu is overlapping.)

Turning off my CSS additions doesn’t seem to change anything, and I haven’t tested it by using a different FSE setup.

    Thanks!

  • Hello there,

The link https://staging2.sapientiainitiative.com doesn’t seem to be working.

Is there another link whereby you’re experiencing this behaviour?

    Many thanks.

That’s because that’s not the link. Whoops! ??

    Hi there,

Thanks for the correct link ??

However, the problem is your Safari version.

The WordPress software, and by extension all themes and plugins listed here on www.remarpro.com, only support the two latest versions of any browser, which in Safari’s case is Safari 15, and Safari 14. And the theme’s menus are working as they’re supposed to for me in Safari 15, both desktop and mobile versions.

Safari 12 came out in 2018, and received its last major update in March 2019, so that browser is no longer officially supported.

Additionally, there’s nothing fancy about Blockbase’s menu, code-wise: it’s just a standard HTML unordered list styled into a horizontal top menu and vertical submenus on desktop, and nested vertical menus on mobile. So this is likely something in the CSS that’s used to style the menu, that was added to the language since 2019, and for which support was never added to Safari 12.

So I’m afraid this isn’t something we’re able to fix from our end.
