    Hello,
I configured a weekly backup of my WP with UpdraftPlus plugin (free version).
Already 3 backups have been saved into my dropbox as expected and another one is to come. At least this is what I can see in my WP extension page. I’ve just tested a manual backup too.
However in Dropbox the folder UpdraftPlus.Com is empty.

You can find screenshots and logs of my 3 backups here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/98jzsf8dqr3aay5/Logs%20and%20Screenshots.zip?dl=0

Why can’t I see my backups files in Dropbox please?

    Forgot to mention the versions:
Wordpress 5.6.2 (tested with 5.7.0 too)
UpdraftPlus 1.16.50 Free version (tested with previous one too)
    Dropbox in Browser

    Hi,

The log shows “0067.137 (0) Cloud backup selection (1/1): none with instance (1/1) (last)”

It appears that Dropbox has not been setup completely. Please check this guide – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fBQBTqkyfY

I had watched this video already and proceeded to the settings.
I’ve just did it again and nothing better.

BUT! I manually created an “updraft” folder and now I can see my new backup files in Dropbox (so the application was able to create the updraftplus.com folder but not the updraft one…).
However the backup files are stored at the root of updraftplus.com and not in updraftplus.com/updraft (which remains empty).

    Very strange bug.

So now I can see my last 2 bunches of backup files but what about the 5 first ones? I hope they will be automatically deleted as configured at least.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the confusion.

For the free version of UpdraftPlus, you can only store your backups in the root of the UpdraftPlus.com folder. You can create sub-folder and store it there if you have the premium version.

I know but the thing here is that I must create manually an “updraft” folder anyway (even if completely useless) so that the automatic backup works and save files in root folder. Complete non-sense but at least it works now.
