    Hi,

I am getting below error message

Success: you have authenticated your Dropbox account (though part of the returned information was not as expected – your mileage may vary)
Dropbox error: Error in call to API function “users/get_current_account”: request body: could not decode input as JSON (400)

    Process

    1. Install & Activate Updraft
    2. Link to a newly created Dropbox account.
    3. Backup now to see error

Any idea what may be reason for the error?

    Thanks & Regards,
    Gulshan

    Hi Gulshan,

    Apologies for the delay.

It appears that something is corrupting the communications between UpdraftPlus and Dropbox.

If you check the ‘Existing Backups’ tab, do you see a warning message about ‘extra whitespace’?

Could you try temporarily deactivating the other plugins on the site, and attempt to authenticate with Dropbox again? Does the error persist?

    Hello,

It’s completely okay for delay. I know you have been always helpful to me. I am a huge fan of Updraft. ??

    —-

I wiped, and re-authorized Dropbox. Getting same message.

Would you like to see logs? If yes, please share your contact channel.

I will just drop the extracted logs for the reference.

I hope it helps in finding the exact issue.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Gulshan

Does running a backup work? Is it just when authorising that you get this message, or do backups fail too?

What does it mean? I just got it. Would be helpful if there was an explanation or fix, rather than just an ad to buy premium. I’ve had lots of issues not being able to sign onto my wp-admin. Can FINALLY get in after a week, and was doing a backup and get this notice along with:

Success: you have authenticated your Dropbox account (though part of the returned information was not as expected – your mileage may vary)

Cute, but I am clueless. I want to make a backup so I can change a theme possibly as my site is very sluggish.

I am in this rabbit hole because even though I see Updraft has – in theory – backed up the site and it shows on my WP site, it doesn’t appear in Dropbox where I am supposedly backing up to. Any suggestions for someone that has no idea what all this means? I “JUST SIMPLY” wanted to back up (just and simply are my most hated words these days. ??
