  • Hello,

that looks like that the connection gos not directly to DropBox. Is there a Prox or similar on your hoster?

No, no proxy or something like that.

But: They just changed the SSL certificate, may that be a reason? Because re-authentification did not work… ??

I’m a bit lost now because there is NO backup tool at the moment which works on my server config… And I prefer yours.

If Dropbox changes the SSL Certifikate than they will have the correct domaine name in. configcenter.info is not from Dropbox.

Or is that a Cert for your host ?

Of course it’s not from Dropbox. ?? It is the certificate for my host, yes. What can we do now? ??

The only what we can do is deactivating the Secuity checks on BackWPup.
You can use that Plugin for it https://marketpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/backwpup-disable-ssl-verify.zip

Hm, this plugin (or dropbox or my server) is really driving me crazy… For some strange reason, the backups sometimes work, sometimes not.

I thought that splitting the backup in single jobs (one for the plugins, one for the database, one for the uploads 2015, one for 2014, one for 2013 etc…) would make things better because the compressed files are smaller then, but it got even worse.

I think that the problem is dropbox related, but the error messages are pretty strange sometimes…

FEHLER: Dropbox-API: (404) File or folder not found at the specified path.

-> but the folder IS there.

FEHLER: Dropbox-API: (405) Request method not expected (generally should be GET or POST).

    -> Uhm, what? ??

    and also
FEHLER: Dropbox-API: (500) Internal Server Error

-> Which is DEFINITELY Dropbox related.

I’m really “mit meinem Latein am Ende” (haha)

What am I doing wrong? I fetched an auth key at Dropbox for every job, Execution time is 120 seconds, retrying 5 times.

The strange thing is that sometimes the backups work, sometimes not.

    What can we do?
