    Hi,

On all the websites I manage, the daily BackWPup backups failed with the following message:
wp-content/plugins/backwpup/inc/class-destination-dropbox-api.php: Dropbox API: (400) Bad input parameter: Error in call to API function "users/get_current_account": This app is currently disabled.

Does anyone else have this problem, or is it related to my account ?

Oh, annoying. But thanks for your quick answer.

Thanks for the link! Deleting my Dropbox authentication and authenticating again solved the problem.

Does it work if we do it for one job, or do we have to do each job?

You have to do this for each job

    Thanks, that worked

Hi. I did the instructions, but Dropbox returns: ‘This app is currently disabled.’

This is extremely irritating. I have setup backups for many clients going to their own dropbox accounts. I don’t have their login credentials, nor do I want them. I setup the authentication when sitting with.

Now I have to go back to each and every one to reconfigure the backups.

I don’t think this has been thought through very well at all!

    I also read that

Note: The Dropbox backup folder changed from BackWPup to InpsydeBackWPup.

Will existing backups be copied to the new folder and the old folder deleted or is that something we are going to need to do manually?

Glad i found this thread, i was wondering why all my backups were failing.

I get to go back through 40+ WP dashboards and re-link all my Dropbox connections. D’oh

While beggars can’t be choosers (I am very pleased with BackWPup’s free tier), it is an annoyance that the default upload path has been changed to InpsydeBackWPup.

“security precaution of Dropbox” sounds like Dropbox initiated this.

Just one remark: for me 3.6.8 had this problem as well.

    @schmalzschnitte @409industries
you will need to update to 3.6.9 in order successfully re-authenticate Dropbox.
Sorry for any inconvenience, but we are forced to do this by Dropbox team in about 72 hours, if we don’t take any action within that time, BackWPUp will not able backup to Dropbox forever ??
So it really rushes for both us and all of our users too ??

    Thanks @christina!

I don’t understand about this critics from some users. It is a tiny step, security realated, I’m happy about this continously development (!!), it was written as a very clear message in your WP!, all is easy going not worth to talk about. So what?

    All the best.
