    Hi Wiblash,

    The search form generated by BP Profile Search simply POSTs its data to the Members directory page, and if you POST the same data to the same page you get the same search results.

    So the answer is yes, you can build a different form as long as you submit the same POST data submitted by the generated form, but you have to build the form manually, or modify the plugin bps-searchform.php file.

    I’m not good in theme coding, so I can’t give any specific coding advice.

    Anyway you, or your theme developer, can modify your theme and build any kind of search form in your Members page. The only requirement is that your search form must submit the same POST data submitted by the plugin search form.

    You can easily inspect the plugin search form using the “View page source” feature in your browser, and make sure that your new form submits the same POST data.

    Ok, thanks. A little question more, can you add to the plugin a clear search button? to show again all members?

    Or in case you press ALL MEMBERS button clear my seach and back to show all members without a filter?

    At the moment you can reset your filters:

    – clicking on the Members directory link in the main menu;
    – or navigating away from the Members directory.

    I agree that a better way should be available, so I think I’ll implement your first suggestion. Thanks!

    PS: if you need a quick fix, you can add a button to your Members directory page, labeled “Clear Filters” or something like that, and linking to the same Members directory page. Clicking that button will reload the page and clear the filters.

    Version 3.6 adds a Clear link under the search criteria, to reset the filters.

    I’m marking this thread as resolved now.
