Drop down menus stopped working 5.5 upgrade

Unfortunately, reversing out won’t help us resolve this (we can’t even see the issue using your link now, either).

Did you try any of the suggestions in the stick post for 5.5? e.g. disabling all plugins?

Are you using the built-in menus or a third-party plugin for these? If you’re JQuery for the menus, it may be the change to JQuery in 5.5 that’s affected this – in which case, this could be down to a plugin or, if you’re not using one for the menus, your theme.

When you have your site back to 5.5, I would suggest trying what’s in that post and then posting on here if none of that helps.

I have the same problem, it says loading but don’t load. The customizing preview don’t work anymore and I can’t change anything on my front page regarding the theme.

When I’m on the front page the button edit page is not visible, only when I change to another page that appears.

For what it’s worth the menus are in my theme.

David,

I reapplied the update to 5.5, as well as installing the Enable Jquery Migrate Helper plugin. The menus on my site work as designed now. Apparently the helper plugin took care of the problem.

The theme that I run is indeed legacy, and will not be updated again by the developer. So to get past using the helper plugin I would have to do a theme migration, something I definitely don’t relish.

I am open to any other thoughts you may have.

But concerned it is only a temporary fix. It appears that the problem is with Photo Gallery plug in.

I am having the same problem drop down menus do nt work I installed the Enable Jquery Migrate Helper plugin and the upgrade to it and no help?

Theme is Modernize

The problem has returned! Downloaded latest WordPress 5.7 and drop down menus on front page stopped working. Enable jQuery Migrate Helper did not fix it. Photo Gallery is still identified as deprecated. So removed Photo Gallery but this did not fix it.

Help would be very appreciated.

@mjw-architects did you find the fix? Using Arcadian theme and after updating, samething happened and jQuery didn’t help either.

After updates, the drop down menu disappeared.
The weird thing is that when I am logged in to wp-admin it is showing me the drop down, and when I am logout it disappears…

Hola, soy nuevo en el grupo y mi problema con el menu desplegable es que se ve bien en Pc pero no en movil, no lo guarda dentro de la hamburguesa.
Cuando dise?o con elementor me muestra bien el menu en Pc-Tablet y movil.
Ya active y desactive complementos, en apariencia ya subi y baje por todos lados toque todo y sigo con el problema.
Agradezco muchisimo la ayuda, ya que esta en la web pero no esta utilizable ya que al visitante le va hacer imposible ver los productos.

hi hoping someone can help… updated and now the drop down menu’s are not showing.. when you hoover over they are there, but they are not shown — any ideas?
