drop-down menus of Pages
-
Hi. Everyone. Thanks in advance for any advice you could give, because I’m completely stuck here.
I’m designing a website for my school and want to use WordPress the handle the dynamic content. One aspect of the organization are certain pages that will all use the same basic design, and so are idea for the Pages feature of WordPress. What I want to do is create a horizontal navigation bar to list those pages in a dropdown menu, like so:
ABOUT US | FACULTY AND STAFF | HIGHLIGHTS | etc…
All of the content in these categories are in subpages. When I set up the site I created a main page called “about us” and several subpages under it: “History”, “Mission”, “Academics” etc. So, I have it set, using the Suckerfish method, to drop down the list of subpages when you scroll over the main page title. So far so good. The problem is that the main page title (for example, “ABOUT US”) is a clickable link, but all of our content is going to be in the subpages. Is there any way to keep clicks on that main page title from doing anything?
Or is my whole scheme flawed? If so, do you know another way I can work it?
