drop down menu doesn't work

  • Hi,

    I’m having an issue with my dropdown menu, it does not work at all and does not show sub pages when I hover over a tab. I believe this started after I upgraded to the newest version of WordPress. I’ve read multiple forums, but can’t seem to fix the issue with the other suggestions.

  • did you have the sub pages set up as having parent pages or did you go into the menu tab on the dashboard and make a navigation?

    I have the sub pages set up to have parent pages and I also believe in the menu section in the dashboard I have them set up as sub items and they are indented. I’m not extremely familiar with WordPress though.

    I used to have my sub-pages set up as having parent pages too, but the best method for you is going to be setting up a navigation menu how you want it on the menu tab. Make sure you check the box at the bottom of the menu page to make the navigation you create to be your primary navigation and your mobile.

    Okay great. When you refer to the navigation menu are you referring to the menu section under appearance in the dashboard?

    yep, from there you can choose the navigation to have any hierarchy you want

    Thanks. I tried removing the parent page and just using the navigation menu, but it’s still not showing up when I hover over the tabs. Any other suggestions? I’m sure it’s something simple, but nothing seems to fix it.

    Hmmm…other than making sure the Primary Navigation box is checked and that all of your desired pages are set up how you want them to be in the nav, you could try disabling some plugins and see if that is causing an issue. Or you could see if the theme developer has a support forum that might have answers for you.

    I changed themes and upgraded to the latest WP, drop down menu not showing on navigation menu. Header image not showing on first page. Actually the slider for header image. Have not been able to get it to show on any theme. EVER.

    Had installed a purchased theme, would not work properly, could not get it formatted to show sliders, etc across the top of the page. So changed to another theme, Clean Corporate. Then updated WP.

    Cannot find the problem. HELP. Please

    My pages disappeared. Not showing in the nav menu.

    How do I fix this?
