• I would like to have my pages and categories located on my navigation menu to have be drop down menus of my sub pages and sub categories. How can I make this work… or can I?

  • Hi!

If your theme has submenus styled, you should be able to do this. Go to Appearance > Menus and switch to the menu you want to change. Add your pages/categories to the menu, underneath the menu item you want to trigger the submenu. Then, take each menu item and drag it slightly to the right until you see the dashed lines move over, and then drop the menu item. You can do multiple levels, just keep dragging farther to the right.

    Hi there
thank you so much for helping. I’m still having issues. Part of it is probably because I’m new to this, but I like to consider myself somewhat tech savvy once I break through that barrier of linguistics.
This is the issue that I’m currently having and I feel like it’s probably all connected:
    1. I still cannot create a drop down menu (I followed your instructions but I didn’t get lucky).
    2. I have my posts and pages that I’d like to be “sub posts” and “sub pages” labeled as child pages under their correct parent page. They still do not show up for anything on my site.
    3. When I hover over my navigation menu, or click on it, none of my “subs” show up, including (even more appalling) my written posts and content in my pages do not show up after clicking on the menu items. The only place they will show up is on my home page (although they are still labeled as being in the correct category or page).

Perhaps I have clicked a button that should not have been clicked, or perhaps my theme doesn’t support it at all…

    Thanks again

Can you post a link to your site? It’s really hard to say without seeing what’s going on…
