• Hi

I am using wordpress for my site and I have a custom menu with a drop down sub-menu, on Firefox/Chrome/safari it works fine but on IE version 10 and 9 (haven’t tried others) the drop down menu disappears before you can select a sub-menu item, it’s as if there is a gap between the top menu item and the sub menu items and IE thinks you’ve come off the menu so it goes away.

You can see the issue here.

Any ideas what I need to do to get rid of this problem?

    Thanks.

  • Can’t really spend to much time on this but in IE it looks like there is a a padding or margin either on the sub menu li or ul elements.

I think it’s that IE isn’t treating the whole button as a link, only the text where as the other browsers are treating the whole button as the link.

I can’t figure out why or how to resolve it though.

You will have to counter the IE bug with a IE stylesheet

Here is a pretty good write up on this stuff Here

Knowing what IE is missing or not doing right is half the battle.
