    Hey guys,

Is it possible to have a drop down menu (select*) that changes the placeholder text in a text area box?

Fox example: When the user selects Support from the drop down menu, the placeholder text in the text area box should be “Type the version of WordPress you are using”. When the user selects Features from the drop down menu the placeholder text in the text area should be “Type your requested features”.

  • This sort of conditional logic is not available directly in Contact Form 7. It can be done via custom programing but you would need to be rather skilled at WordPress development using PHP and/or jQuery. Your particular problem should be relatively easy using jQuery.
