Drop down menu and grid/list not showing in product menu

    I was having the same problem with the Boutique theme until i was notified that the products display menu wouldn’t work properly and it’d be best to use storefront, after switching back to storefront the drop down menu for sorting out the products on the page appeared as well as the grid/list option, and now it has disappeared. Instead i am given a button at the bottom of the product labeled “older products”

    What you are describing isn’t part of Storefront, but it’s because of a plugin letting you “scroll infinitely”. If I’m not mistaken, you have Jetpack enabled on your site and that might be the cause. If you go to Jetpack > Settings > Writing, try to make sure you don’t have the button option enabled.
