Drop Cap is missing in Paragraph Block

  • Hi,

    We recently switch the theme to Twenty Twenty-Two and update to WP 5.9.

    There used to be Drop cap available in the Paragraph block.

    It is now missing. Not sure if it is caused by the theme or WP 5.9.

    Does anyone see the same?

    Just tried another theme Blockbase by Automattic.

    And the Paragraph will show Drop cap in Paragraph block.

    So it could be that the Twenty Twenty-Two removed the Drop cap option.

    Is there anyway to add it back or enable it?

    you can find the dropCap text in theme.json file of the theme and change the value as true instead of false. After that, you can able see the dropcap option in the Paragraph block.

    How sad. I use Drop cap too. Don’t know anything about working with .json file(s) or altering themes. No interest in leaving this theme just because of one letter shape. Maybe a fix will come through on the next update (if someone asked for it). Not the only thing missing from the old paragraph block. It’s a Beta editor with B standing for Broken-until-fixed.
