Drop box of Departments

I’ve installed this a few weeks ago for a project Im working on, Im finding it very good but have had to make some mods. I dont know php so this has been difficult but Im getting there.
One thing I cant do is create a drop box of Department names, is it possibly something you could add in or post the code for? I’ve got a html hard coded one for now but I wont be working here for much longer and need to make it future proof. So if the drop box got the department names from the database that would be a lot better.
Im sure its easy but I just dont know where to start.
