    Hello,
I’m trying to get a wordpress site into dreamweaver. I defined a testing server, but when I switch to live view I get this error:

    ——————————————————

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in C:\wamp\www\Widget_Corp\wp-content\themes\BLANK-Theme\index.php on line 1

    Call Stack
    # Time Memory Function Location
    1 0.0018 376432 {main}( ) ..\index.php:0

    ——————————–

Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this?

    Thanks

Thanks for the link. I have taken some tutorials on installing WordPress locally. Do think this error might be caused by a file that has been moved?

You can’t view the index.php file in the theme folder directly (or any of the theme template page parts) using LiveView UNLESS you use a WordPress/Dreamweaver “aware” webserver. Currently there is only one out there: DesktopServer

It’s a personal server for your desktop only and not intended to be used as a real server on the Internet.

You can however, view the index.php in the site root using LiveView. It will render the entire page, but that doesn’t do too much in terms of using Dw’s Split View for code navigation.
