Dreamplace theme not showing any style

  • I’ve just installed the Dreamplace theme in one of my 2.6 wordpress installations.

    Weirdly though none of the styles are coming through. you can see it here.

    Any suggestions on what may be going wrong? I know others are running this theme in 2.6, and I am able to select the theme and even edit the files in the dashboard if need be so the theme is installed correctly.

    Any help would be appreciated, this theme makes my wife want to post finally…

    Jeremy, thanks for the reply. I’ve have read the page over, but I’m not finding anything that points to where the problem may lie.

    I have tried up loading on two separate computers. First on a Mac using Cyberduck, then on a PC using CPanel and extracting on the server.

    I downloaded a fresh copy each time and I deleted the old files on the server before trying the second upload. I even completely removed and then re-installed WordPress 2.6.1. I even performed a downgrade to 2.6, just is case the theme broke in 2.6.1. I also opened up all the permissions to the theme files to 777. Still no joy.

    Does the default theme still work? Have you tried any other themes?

    Indeed, the others do work. I’ve tried the Default and Classic themes as well as Dilectio.

    If you look here you can see that it’s not showing up in the list.

    That makes me think that something is being uploaded correctly. Are you uploading the whole dreamplace folder to the themes/ folder

    This is strange. But that gave me the clue! I changed the permissions on the files, but not the folder itself. I change them folder permissions for 755 and it worked! Feel kinda foolish…
