• I recently signed up for a DreamHost account to host a small website of mine. They had a very simple plan the was to cost just $45 for two years. Well when they billed me for the charged me nearly $150. Simple billing mistake I thought. I contacted them and …no reply. So I contacted them again and…no reply. 25 emails later guess what No Reply.
The invoice is full of things that I did not want or sign up for. This is a scam company. Please save yourself the aggravation and find a better hosting service. DreamHost is truly a Nightmare Host.

  • Hey there!

Could you post what your domain name is you used with DreamHost? I can then look into your account and fix the billing error. Also, how did you contact us? Did you go to our panel and use the contact support button? Did you try the live chat or contact us form at dreamhost.com itself?

I’m sorry about the mix-up, we’ll get it sorted out I promise!

    Thanks,
    josh!

    You must be crazy.
I have DH for over 2 years and already paid my 3rd year.
I open a lot of tickets and there isn’t only one that took over 12h waiting.

I agree with CajuCLS’s opinion, but don’t think you’re crazy. I’ve had my account for several months at a promotional price of 9.45USD for a year of hosting. The few emails and tickets I sent were replied in a matter of hours. There’s something you are doing wrong, LoSolo, and if you have an invoice with things you didn’t want, either you erred when signing up.

I’ve been using Dreamhost for 2.5 years for purposes other than WordPress and have had absolutely no problem. Installed WordPress last year, and again no problem.

I’ve used Dreamhost for more than 5 years and have never had a problem. Tech Support and help are awesome.

I just recently moved away from dreamhost. And it was a very wise move. Now I pay $3 instead of $9 that I paid at dreamhost and probably there must be some miracle dunno.. but the same wordpress installs I had at dreamhost, here at the new host don’t kill any process anymore.

P.S I use the same “killer plugins” here

but tech support guys were always great, I had to add that
