Draft pages or pages marked No in Advanced settings still showing on sitemap

I have a few pages that are in draft mode that still get displayed on the sitemap.

For published pages that I don’t want to show in the sitemap (that still are), I make sure to go to the Advanced settings of the page(s) in question to Not Allow search engines to show this in search results and Not Follow links. However, the pages still appear in the sitemap. It’s quite frustrating after having tried the following:

1. Disabling W3 Total Cache on a multisite network
2. Turning off the Sitemap feature
3. Clearing the cache via our Kinsta server tool
4. Turning the Sitemap feature back on
Result: Published pages with No for showing results or following links are still showing on the sitemap. And Draft pages of my custom post type are still being listed in the sitemap
