Draft disappeared from post-new.php & reappeared during next posting…

The link to a draft disappeared from post-new.php while I was writing a new post. Then, it disappeared when I was writing a new post. Also, when I posted the second post, I click the “view post” link and it took me to the previous post that I published (not saved, drafted, etc-it was actually posted to the public).

1-Why did it take me to the previous post, and not the one that I had just published?
2-Why did the draft to the other post disappear, then reappear?
3-How do I make drafts not appear in the post-new.php (aside from messing with the code)-at least after a day?
