I’m testing the free version. I run the import and set Post Date to [#item_date] – the posts are imported with the correct date from the original post, as a Draft.

I go to Posts > All Posts > Drafts > Quick Edit > and confirm the date is still from the original post. I change the Status to Published and the post date and time are changed to the current date and time.

Is there a way to retain the post’s original date and time when going from Draft to Published?

  • Hi @travor,

Thank you for reaching out to us and for using Feedzy!

Unfortunately for the moment there is no way to retain the original date. However, we’ve passed this behaviour along to our development team, and they will be reviewing it. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as soon as we have more information, until then you can check the progress here.

    Kind regards,

    Thank you @mara3

The workaround is this (at least for me):

    • Click Posts > All Posts > Drafts [or wherever status you gave to Feedzy]
    • Edit Post
    • In post Settings side bar, click Status > Draft > Published
    • Click Publish > Immediately > a date and time calendar box appears
    • I have to change the time from AM to PM and then back to AM for the time to be registered correctly
    • Close time/date box > press blue Publish button to publish the post

It only takes a few seconds and my posts retain the correct date. It works, at least for now.

    Hi @travor,

Thank you for sharing your workaround! We’re glad you found a solution that works for you.

    Best regards,

    Mara
