• Hello all,
First, I’m not very good at this… ?? I had several errors along the way (mainly stupid mistakes) but this is one I just can’t figure out, no matter what. I’m sure its something fairly simple that I’m overlooking, but any help would be appriciated. this is before I get to step one installation, even, after uploading. any help would be GREATLY appriciated. and keep up the fantastic work! the demos look great!

  • I am also stuck in the same place with the same return as you received. Are you running WP in a subdirectory? At any rate, I hope someone can offer a bit of help.

Triple-check your DB connection information. That’s what these errors mean.

Uhh… allusion, you are right of course. Dumb mistake, but I have it up now!
    Thanks

yeah, i have the same problem here. someone pls help. here is my question
    1. do i need to create the wordpress database myself?
    2. after create the database do i need to create the table myself?
    thanks

Anon, the database needs to be created by hand before running the wp-install script. The script creates the tables and required columns for you as long the user specified in the DB connection information is correct and the user has rights on the database.
