downsizing even when I upload files from the backend?

Hello,
I have the feeling your adaptive images implementation works even when I’m uploading files from the admin. As they’re bigger then the one on the frontend (WP resizes them already) The operation seems unuseful and wasting server space.I’d also add an option to disable retina sniffing.
