• Hi, great work on the new release using reCAPTCHA v3. However, my clients are finding the size of the reCAPTCHA v3 from Google to be a problem and ‘not worth installing’.

I recommend that you find a way to allow us to downsize the pop out reCAPTCHA v3 that shows up on mobile phones all the time and everywhere on desktops / tablets. Or perhaps only have this show up on the contact page. reCAPTCHA v2 was more simple and user-friendly experience for online visitors.

I think you will have more installs if you adhere to my recommendations. v3 is great for stopping intelligent spambots but it’s not a great user-experience to have it show up everywhere on each page and it’s too large in size as well.

Again, great work. Please let me know if you have any questions for me. I hope you make a new update to this great plugin soon.

    Thank you.

    1. If we’re forced to use V3 now then why are you adding it to every single page! Add it only to pages that actually have a form for crying out loud!!! The privacy/terms widget is so ugly and looks absolutely awful on every single page of a website (especially on mobile).

    2. Why are you not offering support for V2 still!!! Some of us prefer V2 precisely because we can’t stand that stupid privacy/terms widget!!!

My client really felt discouraged using v3 so I went back to v2. Keep in mind that when I used v2 ‘invisible’ it was NOT invisible and I had to go through 7 verification steps to select images that includes street lights. Yes, 7 times. Not good at all.

I reverted to v2 ‘using a checkbox’ however, I do not see the checkbox anywhere on the contact page.

All I can do at this time is wait to see if my client is receiving any new spam emails to her gmail over the next few days. This is certainly not a good way to make an upgrade to Contact Form 7. I did install Akismet as well hoping this will help combat spam.

@bburgay please note that the V3 methodology tracks the visitor throuhgout your site to help with the SPAM determination. That is why the script is on every page. You can hide the badge with CSS, but then you need to add the following into your form (per Google):

This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google
    Privacy Policy and
    Terms of Service apply.

@locascioa Got it. Thanks for the info! They must have just allowed that because I was debating using it several months ago but we weren’t allowed to hide it then.

Maybe they should add an option to automatically add that to the form and hide the widget…
