Downscaling images increase size up to x5

    Hey!

    I like this plugin, but there is problem with “downscaling” pictures (especially in webp format).

    Scenario is simple:
    I upload highly-optimized 100kb 1600×1200 .webp image and use it on depicter slide.
    At front, Depicter resize this image file into various sizes (srcsets), NO source use original file:
    Around these
    280kb file size for 1200×1000 resolution
    200kb file size for 100×800 resolution
    So, even smaller in resolution than original files tend to be times bigger (I got up to 6x file increase).
    It get worse with larger sizes: I saw up to 6x size grow at ORIGINAL resolution.
    Final quality is degrading for all resized formats (even for “upscaled” ones).
    Because of pictures size Depicter slides load much slower.

    Is there any workaround for this? Or is there option to disable resize and just use source picture for all sizes?

    We appreciate feedback like this and certainly it will help us improve.

    It seems that this issue is happening mostly for the webp files. Nonetheless, I have reported this to our dev team and we will fix this in future updates.
