    Hello,
    We updated to 4.8.0 and we got an email notification “WordPress has a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site and notifies you with this automated email. In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Download Monitor.

    I went on our website and sure enough nothing could be downloaded. We rollbacked to previous version 4.7.78 and now Downloads work.

    Please let us know when issue has been fixed.

    I am not sure where or how to get that info – I am more of the forefront person and not behind the scenes code and developer person. Where would I find those files?

    Generally from the hosting admin panel, like cPanel. Or ask the host and they should know what to give you.

    I do have the “Error Details” that were sent in that email. Would that be what you are looking for? If Yes – is there a support email I can send this to? I’m not keen on putting company info here.

    OK – updated to 4.8.1 and was able to download an item successfully.

    I do see that with this latest update you have this message “Hello there! We made some changes on how Download Monitor’s data is structured. Please make a backup of your database and click the upgrade button

    Just checking that there won’t be a conflict with 4.8.1?

    The notice is from 4.8.0 an upwards, a minor change to the database is needed. The plugin will continue to work as expected without the upgrade too, but you should do the upgrade.
