Hmm…..upon further investigation, the issue only seems to affect clones sites. This is a multisite network. I’ll get with WPMU Dev since I’m using their cloner plugin to clone subsites in the network.

    Rob,
    Make sure you check https://docs.woothemes.com/document/digitaldownloadable-product-handling/

WooCommerce > Settings >Products> Downloadable Products contains several downloadable product options. The most important option is the file download method:

It sounds like the the settings for force file download isn’t enabled.

Force downloads is enabled in woocommerce. But like I said the issue seems to be related to the cloning plugin, as the original site’s download links work as expected. It’s just the download links in the clones site that are not working.

WPMU Dev is already looking into it.

    Thanks,
    Rob

Gotcha, Thanks for the update. Another suggestion if I were you that I would try would be to go and resave permalinks, and to possibly resave the woocommerce settings just to make sure that all of the serialized data from woocommerce is updated with proper site url in setting. Other than that I would wait on WPMU Dev to see what’s up.
