Downloads Manager

  • hey, im using downloads Manager.

    ive set the downloads to be only downloadable by registered users.

    but if i logout and type in the URL to the file i want to download it still allows the file to be downloaded. can anyone help me with this issue? i just want the files that are downloadable to be available if u are loged in.

  • Hi, I have a similar problem with the Download Monitor plugin, but more than a plugin fault in my case it’s a folder permission issue.
    On my host the wp uploads folder (the same used by Download Monitor) needs a 777 CHMOD permission (very risky indeed…), so anyone can surf and see the content of this directory.
    I partially resolved the issue giving it a 773 permission. It’s still a risk, but at least it’s not directly visible.

    i also use a plugin called User access manager. it allows me to only allow certain user groups to access certain pages. is it posible to get the same rights to the downloads as well?
