Downloads html instead of real file extension

  • Hi,
    I have uploaded a .apk (android app) file to the plugin and offering it ro my customers for download. But when they try do download it directly to their devices it downloads the file with .html extension instead of .apk.

    Might I have done something wrong or could it be the plugin and android-devices together that makes a bad combination?

    It works if using Firefox on the mobile device, but any other browser will download the redirected file as .html.

    Hi. Thank you for following up! I just checked and apparently it only applies to my phone with default web browser (not newer device with Chrome). It just say that it doesn’t know what to do with the file.

    My Android device is Android 2.2.1 Froyo. Samsung Galaxy S2. I dont know if you have any device with equal / older version? Could anyone confirm my problem? It was my clients that told me about this, so cant be only for me. And i reproduced the problem on Froyo. On my Android PAD it was all okey. Downloaded without any problem.
