Downloads are not being counted/logged

I have quite a few downloads on my blog, all except two are not permitted to open in browser (i.e. they are download only, no open). Two files are permitted to open in browser. The issue is, all files downloads are counted and logged just fine, except two that are permitted to open in browser. They are not counted, and they are not even being logged in the log, although they are opening just fine.
Any way to fix this?
