Downloadmanager is a bummer

  • Every few days a new update and everytime you run the update all downloadfiles are deleted.
    I think this is the intention of the developer to force you to buy the pro Version.

    Update never deletes any data, as data stores in different directory in /wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files/. WHAT YOU SAYING IS NOT TRUE AT ALL, THIS IS A FALSE REVIEW.I am not sure if you even using wpdm. I also don’t see any support request in support forum. In every update we are trying to make this plugin better.

    my files are stored at /wp-content/plugins/download-manager/files
    Every few days new update and every few days I have to restore my files.
    I have written this at your support page with no answer since month.
    Test it by you self!
    No further Comment by me!

    why you are keeping in inside /wp-content/plugins/download-manager/files. if you do custom change that certainly will be erased by any update, nothing wrong with the plugin. Default location defined in wpdm is /wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files/, if you change that and keep files inside the plugin, we have nothing to do there, as wp deletes old plugin before update.

    hi friend i think you are wrong mebe you will not place your file insight the plugin becuase of when a new update come it delete thier old file and that time your all file deleted

    Hello guys.
    I never update plugins because I hate this kind of bugs. Today I updated the WordPress Download Manager and I have this problem: I do have all the files in /wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files/ but when I go to the All Files inside WordPress, it is completely empty, no files at all!
    Please help, how can I tell the plugin where to look at?
