Downloading plug-ins failed.

  • Dear friends,

    When I try to install new plug-in’s, I get this message:

    Download failed.
    Destination directory for file streaming does not exist or is not writable.

    I checked some topic’s about this problem, concerning the 0755 folder permission and the tmp folder in config.php.

    /* Setup a temporary folder for uploading and updating */
define( 'WP_TEMP_DIR', ABSPATH . 'wp-content/tmp/') ;

    Both methods are not working for me. Do you guys have any idea what can be the problem?

  • Well its clearly shows it related to the file permission problem. Try it again, and if possible then turn off the safe mode.
