I’m using Updraft free Version on a multisite installation. The creation of the Backup works fine, as I’m able to see and download the files with FTP. But when I try to download the Files on the WP Backend with Updraft the Files first seem to download but then the download aborts somehow at the end.

When looking in the download Folder I can see 2 files.
    1st File backup….gz which has 0KB and a 2nd file named backup….gz.part which has something like 5MB

When trying the same on a different site which is not a multisite, it works fine.

I Already tried to delete and reinstall the plugin, and also to delete all existing backups. Nothing worked so far.

I know that the free Version does not support multisite installations completely, but I don’t think my problem hast to do with that.

    Thanks for the Help

    Hi,

It is possible that the connection gets timed out or killed off.
As an alternative, you can download the files via FTP. You can find the backups in the “wp-content/updraft” folder.

    Thanks,
    Bryle

I have the same problem in many websites. When i try to download the database file, i received an HTTP ERROR 416. The other files first seem to download but then the download aborts somehow at the end. I suppose there is a bug.

    Hi Alberto,

Are you also trying to download form the dashboard, via FTP or directly from your remote storage?

    Thanks,
    Bryle

Hi Bryle, it works via ftp.

    Alberto
