• Hi,

I am running Ubuntu Linux v6.0.6, Firefox 1.5.0.7 and WordPress 2.0.

Sometimes within the Admin panel, when I click on a link, “Publish”, “Manage”, etc. The browser comes up with a dialog box that allows me to download the link to the file that I clicked on.

For instance, when I click on “Publish” when I am done writing a blog post, the post gets published, but then the download box pops up and asks me if I want to download “post.php”

    How do I fix this?

  • 2 things to try:

Edit php.ini to give it a bit more memory (default is usually 8MB. Try 12 or 16)

Or visit Options -> Writing and remove some or all of the Update services listed (if just pingomatic, try remove it).
