Downloaded New Theme and not showing up

  • Hi all,

    I downloaded a new theme and placed the file in the wp-content/themes directory. When I log into my site, and go to presentation to select the new them its not there. Only the classic and default (what came with the down load) is there. Any ideas?

    Sorry, should have been more clear. The themes I tried it with is letterhead and random images, both came from the theme viewr. I downloaded, unzipped, uploaded to themes directory. Hope this clarifies the situation

    So you extracted the theme files from the (typically zip) file, and uploaded all files/folders for each theme to their own directory under wp-contents/themes?

    I placed the folder containin the individual files to the theme directory. So now my theme directory contains 3 folders: default, classic and random-pictures. The presentation screen in my admin only list the classic and default.

    What’s the content inside folder random-pictures?

    What’s the theme called? I can’t find “random picture.”

    Its called random images. All the files that were contained in the folder.

    But primarily, does it have a style.css, and is there a header in it like what’s shown here:

    I went to the theme viewer link above, downloaded the “letterhead” theme, unzipped it placed the folder in the theme directory, now containing defaul, classic, letterhead (all folders). The letterhead folder has the following files: 404.php, archive.php, archives.php, comments-popups.php, comments.php, footer.php, header.php, index.php, links.php, page.php, post.php, readme.txt, search.php, searchform.php, sidebar.php, single.php,style.css. The style.css has the header like as shown in codex referenced above.

    Hmm, I just installed LetterHead with no problem. Can you try some other themes?

    Hi, I’m also having problems with ganja theme. I can’t find the presentation option on my admin panel??? Lol- I haven’t smoked any ganja!
